About me

Ph.D. candidate Cheng-Han Shie is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Information Security at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University. He is also a member of the Information Security Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Chun-I Fan. In addition, he is engineer at the Institute for Information Industry. Mr. Shie has served as a part-time lecturer at the Affiliated Senior High School of National Kaohsiung Normal University, where he taught “Exploration of Next-Generation Cybersecurity Technologies” and “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence.”

His research interests include network security, software-defined network (SDN) security, AI security, cryptographic protocols, and applied cryptography. His work has been accepted by international SCIE-indexed journals and conferences. In recent years, Mr. Shie has led and participated in several research projects, including the NSTC Frontier Cybersecurity Technology Project, the Taiwan Cybersecurity Research and Development Center Program, and the Development and Implementation of 5G Network Security Detection and Protection Technologies-Academia Collaboration Project with Chunghwa Telecom Laboratories.

He served as the lead technical contributor in several award-winning projects, including the 2023 FutureTech Award and the 20th National Innovation Award – Academic Innovation Award, which were jointly awarded to the project teams. In recognition of his individual research excellence, he received the Excellence Award in the 2023 Young Scholars’ Innovative R&D Results Selection, in the category of postdoctoral researchers and doctoral students.
